Our
referral department provides referrals for specialist consultations,
diagnostic studies and therapy visits, as well as insurance
authorizations for consultations, procedures, equipment, supplies and
prescriptions.
The
office is open Monday-Friday and referral personnel can be reached at (503)
370-4225. Your
primary care physician must approve all requests before scheduling or
authorization takes place.
Every
effort is made to schedule patient appointments within 24 to 48 hours
after approval by your doctor.
Emergencies have top priority. Our office will send pertinent information to the
other provider prior to your appointment. An insurance authorization for managed health care
plans will also be done.
Insurance
authorizations normally take 3-4 days. Patients who are already established with a specialist
and are calling for an authorization renewal are encouraged to call at
least one week prior to the appointment.
